O equilíbrio entre o consumo de alimentos ácidos e alcalinos é decisivo para a saúde do organismo. A atual dieta ocidental típica é composta por alimentos formadores de ácidos (cereais, acúcares, alimentos processados, tabaco, café, chá, álcool, proteína em excesso). Alimentos promotores de alcalinidade, como os vegetais, são consumidos numa escala muito menor. O estresse e a falta de atividade física também causam acidificação. É importante consumir pelo menos 60% de alimentos alcalinizantes em nossa dieta para manter a saúde.
Por isso, nas minhas refeições eu coloco muito espinafre, abacate, bróculos, aipo, tomate, cebola, pimentão, alface, repolho, orégano, alho, tomilho, limão, sementes de abóbora, pepino, couve, salsa, semente de abóbora, bicarbonato de sódio e termogénicos (também alcalinos) como pimenta cayena, o gengibre.

The balance between acid and alkaline consumption of food is decisive for the health of the organism. The current typical Western diet consists of acid forming foods (cereals, sugars, processed foods, tobacco, coffee, tea, alcohol, excess of protein). Food promoters of alkalinity, such as vegetables are consumed in a much smaller scale. Stress and lack of physical activity also cause acidification. So, It is important to consume at least 60% of alkalizing foods in our diet to maintain health.
Therefore, in my meals I put very spinach, avocado, broccoli, celery, tomatoes, onions, peppers, lettuce, cabbage, oregano, garlic, thyme, lemon, pumpkin seeds, cucumber, kale, parsley, pumpkin seed, baking soda and thermogenic (alkaline too) as cayenne pepper, ginger.
